Every Parade
needs a Grand Marshall and the PyrateCon 2008 Pirate
INVATION Parade is no exception. We feel that our
choice for the PyrateCon 2008 Grand Marshall, the
1st Grand Marshall this event has ever had is perfect
and a natural for this highly honored position.
The organizers
PyrateCon 2008 are pleased and proud to announce that
at the Helm of PyrateCon 2008 Pirate INVASION Parade
serving as the First Official Grand Marshall will
be the piratical "Scarlett
Harlott". The tantalizing Fallon Willard
a.k.a. the Scarlett Harlott made quite a "splash"
when she attended and was voted "Woman Pyrate
of the Year 2007" at last years PyrateCon. We
already knew that she ROCKS the house and anyone in
the pirate world knows it too!

From
the time this buxom redhead first shifted her cargo
on an auction block to her current adventures as "Woman
Pyrate of the Year 2007", this winsome wench's
larboard side has commanded attention (and currency)
in every port she's plundered! Too brazen to strike
her colours, only a lucky few have ever caught a glimpse
of her superstructure…they always be wantin'
the Red'ead, they be!
Scarlett
Harlott lives near Los Angeles, CA and has had a passion
for costuming of all eras that started in early childhood
and continues still today. She designs costumes and
is involved in both Pyrate and an Old West performance
groups. She loves to perform, paint, watch movies,
attend theatre performances, go to Disneyland (guess
what her favorite ride is) and attend pyrate events
whenever possible. When her father took her on Disneyland's
"Pirates of the Caribbean" ride for the
fist time when she was 6 years old, she gazed upon
the splendor of the woman in all red, heard all the
pyrates hollering, "We wants the red'ead!"
and quickly informed her father, "I am going
to be HER when I grow up!" 'Nuff said, aye?
Furthermore,
PyrateCon 2008 declares that since the Scarlett Harlott
will lead the PyrateCon 2008 Pirate INVASION Parade
she will need to be properly escorted. As the leading
sponsorship supporter of PyrateCon 2008, that honor
belongs to Talderoy,
the most ruthless pirate to sail the seas!
We know
that PyrateCon 2008 will be a great media event for
the City of New Orleans and would help bring in more
tourism into the City as well as be a positive light
for your French Quarter merchants. The Honorable Mayor
Nagin would be declaring and making a special proclamation
that April 18th, 2008 will officially be named PyrateCon
Day.

"He
sailed upon the sea, and he had a mighty beard! Talderoy!
The greatest, and most ruthless pirate ever said to
sail the seas has haunted the minds of seaman for
all of known history. Towering above even the largest
of men, with bones of silver and electric blood, his
presence calls to mind the giants of tale and legend
like Atlas and Goliath. Though largely believed to
be mythical, increasing numbers of honest sailors
believe not only that Talderoy lives, but scores claim
to have actually seen him.
Now,
the arguments against such a man are clear, and the
evidence seems staggering. Believed to be immortal,
a power derived from his mighty sword crafted from
the iron of the Gates of Eden, The scar on his face
is said to have been left by Poseidon himself, a well
deserved smiting for “stealing his sea"
.Some say he be myth,while others claim to have seen
him in the proximity of Ye
Olde Tattoo Shop in Studio City, Ca. The tattoo
artists when questioned all confessed belief in Talderoy,
but refused to substantiate rumors of his presence
at the shop. Clay was not available for comment but
has confessed to seeing Talderoy!
In the tradition of adventure, and the romanticized
piracy of the Golden Age, Talderoy speaks to the hearts
of pirates everywhere, and their joyous cries shall
be heard in SONG in every corner of the earth until
time stops or the stripped flag of Talderoy flies
